Von 2022 bis 2025 führte das China-Programm das Projekt "The Climate Crisis, Global China and Civil Society Advocacy in Asia" durch.

Climate change impacts are increasingly visible across Asia, particularly in South and Southeast Asia. At the same time, foreign investments and infrastructure projects continue to shape local environments and livelihoods. With this project, we aimed to strengthen dialogue and cooperation among civil society actors in China, Indonesia, Nepal, and Europe on the climate impacts of investment-driven development.

Despite geo-political and administrative challenges that accompany projects which transcend diverse legal and political frameworks, the project created transnational spaces for exchange, joint learning, and advocacy. This brochure presents insights from our cooperation with civil society partners and highlights local perspectives on climate action, foreign investments, and development pathways.
