Über den Termin

Each number has a story to tell. Remembering the past in the Philippines and Germany (Tuesday, May 2, 6:00-9:00pm).

Amidst a colossal push to rewrite history, nothing can erase the memory of the people who have lived through the perils of those dark times. They are the 11,103.

Martial Law is best remembered for its record number human rights abuses. 11,103 is a collection of stories of survivors of the state sponsored violence.

What are the achievements, challenges and obstacles in memorial work? We discuss this question from a Filipino and a German perspective.

Together with the philippinenbüro, PhilNetz, Forum Ziviler Friedensdienst, Dakila and its Active Vista Center, the Aktionsbündnis Menschenrechte - Philippinen (AMP) invites you to a film screening of 11,103 - A Film about Martial Law Survivors in the Philippines, produced by Kara Magsanoc-Alikpala, and directed by Mike Alcazaren and Jeannette Ifurung.

Leni Velasco, Secretary General of Dakila - Active Vista will bring the documentary to Cologne.
