Climate change mitigation and adaptation require resources; international funding is in high demand. Who is leading major climate projects and for whom?

The Climate crisis is hitting Southeast Asia particularly hard. To meet the challenges of climate change impacts fairly, local communities and climate movements need to be involved. What are their needs and their demands? How can civil society engage in environmental and climate issues in repressive states? And how is climate finance influenced by colonial structures?

With Julia Behrens (Postdoc Fellow University of Bielefeld) and Tala Batangan (Reality of Aid - Asia Pacific). Moderation: Oliver Pye (Institute of Oriental and Asian Studies, University of Bonn) The webinar is hosted on Zoom. A translation into German will be provided.

It will take place on October 10, 2023, 12PM to 1:30PM
