In der Pressekonferenz wurden aktuelle Verletzungen von Arbeitsrechten und Menschenrechten in der Palmölindustrie am Beispiel Indonesien erläutert und diskutiert. Es sprachen Vertreter*innen von Gewerkschaften und Nichtregierungsorganisationen zu aktuellen Fällen.
Arbeitsrechtsverletzungen in der Palmölindustrie
Im Mittelpunkt standen Verletzungen grundlegender Arbeitsrechte in der globalen Lieferkette der Palmölindustrie, mit einem Fokus auf Ost-Kalimantan (das Unternehmen PT. Citra Agro Kencana, das Nestlé beliefert) und Südsumatra (PT. Agro Kati Lama, eine Tochtergesellschaft vom belgischen Unternehmen SIPEF).
